On 09 September 2019, the Mekong River Commission (MRC) Secretariat received notification from the National Mekong Committee of Lao PDR submitting the Sanakham Hydropower Project (SNHPP) for Prior Consultation (PC) under the Procedures for Notification, Prior Consultation and Agreement (PNPCA).
This is the 6th Mainstream mekong project in Laos to initiate the MRC’s PNPCA process
